See, Measure, Prevent — Three Layers of Protection for Your Fleet

Commercial vehicle safety is not a single problem. A blind spot on the right side of a bus is different from a trailer’s turning radius. A construction truck maneuvering on a crowded site faces risks that a highway truck never encounters. One device cannot cover them all.

That is why we built our safety system in three layers: See, Measure, and Prevent. Each layer addresses a different type of risk. Together, they give fleet managers a complete picture of what is happening around every vehicle.

Layer 1: See — AI Vision System

The first layer is visibility. Before you can prevent an accident, the driver needs to see what is there.

Our AI Vision System (C98AI series) uses high-definition cameras paired with AI algorithms to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings in real time. It detects pedestrians, cyclists, and obstacles, and displays them clearly on an in-cab monitor. It also records footage, which matters when you need to review an incident.

Think of it as giving every driver a second pair of eyes — eyes that never blink, never get tired, and can see in places the mirrors cannot reach.

• Best for: buses, coaches, delivery trucks, any vehicle where the driver needs better visibility around the vehicle.

Layer 2: Measure — Proximity Warning Alert System

Seeing is not always enough. Sometimes the driver is looking at the wrong place at the wrong moment. That is where active warning comes in.

Our Proximity Warning Alert System (PWAS, C57D series) uses ultrasonic and radar sensors to measure distance to nearby objects. When something gets too close, it triggers an audible and visual alert. No interpretation needed — the driver knows immediately that action is required.

This layer is especially critical for low-speed maneuvering: reversing, docking, navigating tight spaces. It is also the go-to solution for construction and heavy equipment that need 360° close-range detection around the entire vehicle.

• Best for: construction vehicles, heavy equipment, refuse trucks, any vehicle that operates in tight spaces with ground personnel nearby.

Layer 3: Prevent — AI Fusion Safety System

The third layer combines the best of both worlds: camera vision plus 77GHz millimeter-wave radar, fused together by AI. This is our AI Fusion Safety System (C98AIR series).

Why fuse? Because cameras and radar see differently. Cameras identify what an object is — a pedestrian, a cyclist, a car. Radar measures exactly how far away it is and how fast it is moving, in all weather and lighting conditions. Together, they give you both identification and precision.

This is the layer built for the toughest conditions: highway speeds, heavy rain, night driving, multi-lane traffic. It is also the layer that aligns with emerging regulations like UNECE R151, which mandates blind spot detection on commercial vehicles.

• Best for: long-haul trucks, trailers, buses operating in mixed traffic, any fleet preparing for regulatory compliance.

How the Three Layers Work Together

You do not have to pick just one. The three layers are designed to work together, and the right combination depends on your fleet.

A city bus might need Layer 1 (AI Vision) for the right-side blind spot plus Layer 2 (PWAS) for pedestrian detection at stops. A long-haul trailer might need Layer 3 (AI Fusion) for highway lane changes plus Layer 1 for reversing. A construction truck might run all three.

The point is: there is no universal answer. The right answer depends on your vehicles, your routes, and your risks. That is the conversation we have with every fleet manager who visits us.
